Rachel Williams
Rachel Williams is a film and tv composer whose talent for melodically sensitive and emotionally charged scores punctuates her unique style. After completing graduate school and poised to jump into the health sector, Rachel couldn’t shake her love of music and cinematography, and began her path in music composition.
Soon after starting her career, she was selected for the official sync playlist for Directors and Producers of the Cannes Film Festival and was a semifinalist of the special jubilee edition of the FMC-Film Music Contest.
Rachel’s versatility in media is represented in her body of work. Her score for the feature film Ordinary Things received a nomination for Best Score at the International Christian Film Festival. She currently works on short and feature length films, as well as composes for sync playlists and is experienced in video game composition.
A songwriter, composer, pianist, and vocalist, Rachel is a multifaceted creative that defies boundaries in her art with every piece she composes. Not only does she compose for tv + film, but also fronts a Neo funk/pop band called Gold Embers, releasing their debut album in the spring of 2023 titled Good Intentions.
Rachel believes that music is a beautifully crafted bridge that unites the cinematic narrative and the viewer experience, and is dedicated to working with others to bring their visions to life.
